Surface Design on Clay

Surface Design on Clay is a 4 week course designed to introduce students to the possibilities of decorative techniques for ceramics, giving you a trampoline to then push your own work and craft further. Expect a wide range of images, pattern, texture, layering and colour. Come along and learn how to decorate clay to personalise your hand-built or thrown work to another level for more and more unique results.

Aude will guide and accompany you in demonstrations and exercises to learn in a creative, experimental, and clayful environment.

The course will be given in English and Aude also speaks French.

THE COURSE WILL COVER :
* stencils
* imprints onto clay
* inlays of clay
* oxyde pencils and oxyde inks
* coloured slip transfers with fabric and newspaper
* making and using springs
* discovering historical and contemporary

approaches in ceramics  to learn from other artists
