Description du service
A whole month to settle in, let the wheel hum beneath your hands, make joyful clay messes, center, re-center, wobble, and feel those tiny breakthroughs that make throwing so addictive. Throwing (using the potterโs wheel) is a meditative technique that asks for patience, softness, and repetition. This 4-evening introductory cycle (Thursdays, 18h30โ21h30) is designed for true beginners discovering the wheel for the first time, as well as intermediate potters who want to deepen their practice with gentle guidance in a warm, family-like atmosphere. ๐ PROGRAM ๐ Over 4 evenings, youโll learn and practice the essential steps of throwing: preparing and centering your clay, opening it, pulling walls, shaping forms, trimming, and feeling the subtle progress that comes from simply showing up each week. Each session builds on the previous one, leaving room for exploration, mistakes, laughter, and those quiet moments when everything settles and the clay finally listens to you. ๐ PRICE ๐ ๐ธ Includes all the clay and the firings for your first thrown and trimmed pieces made during the cycle ๐ธ Glazing is not included, see below ๐ SMALL GROUP ๐ Maximum 8 pairs of hands, creating an intimate and supportive atmosphere where everyone can explore at their own rhythm. ๐ AFTER THE COURSE ๐ Your pieces need time to dry and be fired, so you cannot take them home right away ๐ You are warmly invited to continue your creative journey as a studio member, joining member sessions and enjoying our inspiration library whenever you need a spark. ๐ GLAZING ๐ About 10 days later, your work will be bisque-fired and ready to glaze. You may choose: ๐ธ If you haven't glazed in our studio, sign up for a Glazing Intro Class (see the โIntro Coursesโ menu). ๐ธ If you already know glazing, book a table during a Member Session. ๐ธ Or let us glaze your pieces for you with a glossy transparent glaze for โฌ5 per piece + firing volume. โ ๏ธ TERMS AND CONDITIONS โ ๏ธ ๐ธ Please ensure you can attend both days, since the process builds step by step. Classes are usually full, so we cannot move participants between sessions. ๐ธ If you do not finish during course hours, you may continue your pieces during member sessions by booking a table. This is not included in the course fee.
